How does the free trial work?
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial — full features, no credit card. Import a few interviews, invite your team, and see whether the evidence library earns its keep before you pay anything.
Do I have to record calls through Fieldnote?
No. Fieldnote joins Zoom, Meet, and Teams calls when you invite it, but you can also upload existing audio and video files, or paste transcripts from other tools. Everything lands in the same searchable library.
Which languages does transcription support?
Transcription currently supports 32 languages, with speaker separation in all of them. Theme tagging and search work across languages, so multilingual research programs stay in one workspace.
Who can see our research data?
Only your workspace members. Recordings and transcripts are encrypted in transit and at rest, we never train models on your data, and workspace admins control retention. Participant consent tooling is built into every recording flow.
Do viewers count as paid seats?
No. You pay for researchers — people who record, tag, and build reports. Teammates who read reports and browse the evidence library are free viewers, on every plan, without limits.
What happens to our data if we cancel?
You keep access until the end of your billing period, and you can export every transcript, tag, and report as standard files (Markdown, CSV, and media) at any time — including after you cancel. Your research is yours.
